Extractor Access
This section describes the security that will be defaulted into place when Extractor is implemented.
The default access to the features within Extractor , the Desktop, and Extractor Report Profiles.

As a general rule, when using Extractor the user has restrictions on the data, modules and personnel which can be accessed, exactly as the security setup in their Security and Access Profiles.
- The default security depends on the setting up of Access Profiles on your system.
- Users who do not belong to a Access Profile will have the default access shown in column A.
- Users who do belong to a Profile will have a default access shown in column B.
- To illustrate the effect of each of the different types of access to the Utilities module during implementation, if an Access Profile has 'Use' access to the Utilities module, the default access to Extractor will be:

The effect of this is that the user will be able to run previously defined Extracts that have been given 'Public' access. The user will not be able to create, alter, or delete Extracts.
- If a Access Profile has 'Change' access to the Utilities module, the default access to Extractor will be:

The effect of this is that the user will have no access to Extractor. The icon will not be displayed when the system is accessed.
However, they will still be able to add Extracts to their Favourites window and run them from there, provided that the Extract has given the 'Public Use' access.
