Competency Gap Enquiry

This window determines discrepancies between required and attained competencies and identifies existing training Courses that may cover the gaps.

Rules and Guidelines

  • Based on the selection criteria the following is performed:-
    • Organisation Unit
      This process takes each employee in an organisation unit and compares their competencies to those listed in their position. This option would be used to identify the need for training courses within an organisation.
    • Position Number
      This process takes each employee in a given position and compares their competencies to those listed for that position. This option is used to identify the need for position training.
    • Position Number/Employee ID Number combination
      This process directly compares the competencies attached to an employee with those of the entered position. This option is used to determine the suitability of a particular employee to fill the position.
    • ID Number
      This process compares the competencies of the entered employee with all positions in the system. This option is used to determine the suitability of an employee for promotion or transfer.
